Universitas Indonesia (UI) as one of the best universities in Indonesia always strives to develop its business in the fields of education, research, and community service. This also includes business units, by managing and developing existing units within the University of Indonesia, through the Directorate of Business Unit Management and Development (DPPU).

In line with this, the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia formed the UKK Pusbangki (special work Unit of the Indonesian Medical Development Centre) based on the decree of Rector 1396/SK/R/UI/2018.

UKK Pusbangki is an institution that is intended to serve the demand and needs of the community as well as UI citizens in the framework of the implementation and development of science and expertise in accordance with the field of science and discipline held By the University of Indonesia. Broadly, the UKK Pusbangki is expected to produce products and services, branding, and profit in the field of health and medicine. As an UKK full flexibility, the profit generated can be managed independently to improve the service, development, and progress of the university and faculty and can also benefit the community.
